トメロをとめられない: You can not stop Tomer

The annual Daniel regatta has concluded on Saturday and there was much rejoicing and satisfaction at the Tel Aviv Rowing Club. Before going into self-centred details of our success, it is important to thank the organisers - the Daniel Rowing Centre, the Israeli Rowing Federation big-shots and - most of all - rowers, especially those from the Haifa and Tiberius rowing clubs, who came from the land beyond the high mountains to participate. For those of you who want to learn Japanese and/or read the full article, go to our website.

Blog Posters Wanted
The Tel Aviv Rowing Club newsletter is seeking posters to write some blog entries - so we may have more than just Tal's diarrhetic articles for the next issue. The editor in chief reserves the right to reject or accept such articles based on whim.

 Committee update 2010-06: nothing here

The committee has met twice since the previous NL issue, but has not yet published its protocols.

 Monkey vs. Excel

The Tel Aviv Rowing Club is turning into a software power house. Members are spurning applications left-right and centre all for the benefit of the huge rowing population in our club (87.5 members). The two applications at hand are both for managing rowing-session registration. The one: Excel based spreadsheet, the other: database driven Java application. The Java application comes with the evil monkey that keeps an eye on you - to make sure you have properly registered your session.

Tel Aviv Rowing Club Entrepreneur Support Program

Good news everyone:
if you got fed-up with the Tel Aviv Rowing Club's silly obsession with rowing, rowing, nothing but rowing, then you are in for a good surprise - the club is diversifying into commerce and marketing.  We have taken upon ourselves  the role of facilitators and are going to do whatever little we can to assist courageous entrepreneurs.
So, if you need an advertising space, or some free storage area right in the heart of the city of Tel Aviv, do not hesitate to file a request with members of our committee. Our committee members are known for their generosity and are vested with wide executive powers, such as breaking walls and giving real-estate concessions during their term in office.

It may help your cause if you have already made friends here and bribe us with little perks - Israel is a desert nation, as you well know, so a gift of WATER™ is guaranteed to advance your cause.
