Israeli rowing championship concluded

The Israeli 2010 rowing championship part 1 (single scullers) has concluded with the Tel Aviv Rowing Club taking 3 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals. Roni (12.5 years old) has surprised many by beating all rowers in her age group (JW14) on the Saturday races. Unfortunately for Roni, due to inter-team disagreement on right-of-use the following day, she had to change a boat and lost her chance of getting gold. Still, quite commendable for Roni to achieve silver at her age.
 
 
 
Committee update 2010-04

It should be noted with approval that We had to wait only a week - certainly an improvement on past release-to-the-public time-lag. Thank you Osnat.

 
 
 
Club-house double-booking embarrassment

embarrassed-moment-723101.jpg An embarrassment occurred on Friday - the evening of the 2010 Israeli single sculling rowing championship - when the Haifa group of youth rowers were invited to sleep at the Tel Aviv Rowing Club, but were then told that the club house is booked for a private party.

Android Speed Coach
Out of frustration with my own rowing and obsessive compulsion to program I have written an Android application for rowing. I have taken since my Android-ran mobile phone rowing and it has showed me my speed, stroke rate, relative stroke power and stroke-roll profile. If anyone having an Android 2.x compatible mobile device (e.g. Nexus One, Motorola Droid)  would like to try the application (beta quality, free of charge), contact me.
