Tel Aviv Spring 2010 Rowing Regatta
All rowers and the general public are invited to the traditional "Spring in Tel Aviv" 2010 rowing regatta. The races will take place at the Tel Aviv Rowing Club on the Yarkon River on Saturday, April 10 between 7:00am - 11:00am.
 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Committee update 2010-03
http://donraja.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/monkeys.jpg Good news, everyone: We finally have the up-to-date sitting protocols for the 2010 acting club committee. It took much pestering and even an official complaint against the committee's cloak of secrecy, but from now on - promises Osnat (though not in exactly those words) - transparency is the word. I am also counting on the current committee members to appreciate in good humour the choice of picture for this column.

 

 
 
 
Club Coach Robert's Birthday
2010-04-01%2019.34.49.jpgClub coach Robert had his 46th birthday celebrated on Thursday. Besides his group of rowers and the usual suspects, note-worthy invitees included: Alex from DRC, Nikola from Zevulun Kayaks and Ram Golombig, who downed at least one beer in approval of the occasion.
 
 
 
Guest: Hanley Bodek
Hanley Bodek came to Israel for a short visit and earlier this month found some time to visit our club and do some rowing. Hanley has visited our club in the 70's on two occasions representing the US Maccabiah Team.
 

 
 
 

IRF Coastal rowing boat in Israeli customs

The Boat Race - Cambridge vs. Oxford 2010
The annual boat race between Cambridge and Oxford took place today at 16:30 local time (UK) - 18:30 Israeli time. Cambridge won. The race can be viewed on demand at the BBC Sports site.
